Zillow Group tasked me with creating three branding concepts for the newly-created Maker Space at their Seattle headquarters. This is the winning design and will be implemented by end-of-year 2018.
The Maker Space is a an event and activity room where Zillow employees can engage in craft and art activities, either individually or as part of scheduled workshops. The branding for this space should inspire the creativity this space is designed to foster.
This project was unusual in that Zillow gave me free reign to develop concepts that were not tied to Zillow corporate branding so the client didn’t require much ideation.
I used moodboards to develop initial design direction for three different looks.
Next I sketched out a few ideas by hand and narrowed down my approach before developing the final logo design.
I used the same process for each of the three concepts I presented to the client. Below are the runner-up logo designs.
